Writing marketing collateral

The NSW Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD) invites you to attend an existing business development seminar

There’s no use having the best product or service if you can’t tell people about it in a brochure or advertisement.  But how do you ensure that your advertisement, brochure or web stands out and reinforces your competitive advantage?  How do you create headlines that get attention?  And what is an effective call to action?  Creating marketing copy with impact requires good technique and skill.

Among your varied roles as an owner of a business, you’ll probably also need to be your own advertising agency.  This means learning to write compelling messages to get the attention of your target market and position your product.  You’ll also need to be able to write in a range of genres for different communication channels – brochures, online, direct mail or advertising copy.

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the basic principles involved in writing great copy to communicate the benefits or your product to different audiences and then creating a visual image to support your written message.  Participants in the workshop should bring their existing marketing collateral for review and development.

Time:  8.45am for 9.00am to 12 noon
Date:  Tuesday 2nd September – Nowra
Thursday 4th September – Moss Vale
                Wednesday 10th September – Kiama
Cost:   FREE to attend but places are limited
