Basic Bookkeeping for Small Business   
It is very important for any small business owner to know how to keep sound financial records but more importantly to understand how to use those financial reports to make informed decisions. 
This workshop is designed to provide an overview of record keeping responsibilities and provides practical exercises in the tasks required to manage a business through record keeping. 
By attending this workshop you will develop an understanding of financial control and the importance of cash flow. Practical exercises demonstrate how to treat petty cash, cash payments, cash receipts, daily bank balances and bank reconciliations.

Understanding Financial Statements Workshop 
Would you like to understand exactly how your business is going financially and how you can improve/ forecast the growth of your business?
Then come along to Understanding the Financial Statements of Your Business Workshop. This 3-hour workshop is designed to introduce participants to practical skills for analysing financial reports in order to use this knowledge as an input into management decisions.
The workshop will also improve the technical skills of participants discussing business and financial issues with their accountant and bank through better understanding of the language and documents used in financial management.
By the end of this workshop you should be able to:
  • Understand profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Understand why it is important to analyse financial statements
  • Understand the role of cash flow, debtors and creditors
  • Identify questions about your business which can be answered through analysis of the financial statements.
