Mind & Body

Are you blocking business momentum?

You have to ask yourself four key questions

No.1: Does your business run hot and cold?

Momentum is an important element of every business and sports success. Men and women whose business or team are charging ahead report feelings of being on fire or ‘in the zone’. It’s a powerful state of mindfulness. It would appear that our inner and outer self (conscious and unconscious) is in alignment.

Some individuals report a sharp drop in the momentum of their business or team success. This is more often than not caused by invalidation. If your performance drops off suddenly then it’s important to consider who is suppressing you and handle it. It is also possible that this person is close to you and not conscious of their effect.

No.2: Do you blame outside circumstances or others for your loss of momentum?

We live in the ‘age of narcissism’. Many people today have been over-indulged by their upbringing. They are quick to take credit for success but blame others for failure. They deflect all constructive feedback. Eventually this catches up to them. Do you possess some elements of narcissism? This could be a compensation for a feeling of ‘inner emptiness’. Many people scramble throughout life afraid they will be caught or found out. Found out about what? That they are not truly solid in their identity. They believe in some unconscious place that they are a fraud.

To correct this dream-killing issue you have to admit to yourself that you feel empty inside and deal with it authentically. The most effective way to take your power back and remobilise momentum is to put the cause of all your problems within yourself. Although very humbling, it puts you in touch with your humanity and gives you permission to not righteously rise above mistakes in a shameless manner. Equally important, you begin to feel more worthy of momentum and success for yourself, your business or your organisation.

No.3: Is guilt or resentment weighing down your business momentum?

Your reactivity, or better said, your over-reaction to certain conditions or people in your life may be a solid indication that you are being unconsciously activated by historical unfinished business. If you feel guilty for your unethical or
out-of-integrity behaviours you will sabotage your momentum. Concurrently, if you hold onto grudges or resentment you will also tend to undermine your success.

It is a good idea to consider processing these issues. Being free of them will infuse a great deal of confidence and personal power.

No.4: Are you Breaking Universal Laws?

Embrace the courage you possess to explore the unknown. Don’t be afraid to visit your own darkness. It is there for a reason. The doors of your perception will be cleansed. Your creativity will open up and flow like a wild river. Love and accept yourself.

The old you must be included in the new you. It’s all good you know. Put as much space as you can between you and your reactive/distorted mind. They are history now. Place structure and grounded knowledge as a foundation for your entire life. Then free up your spirit to improvise and play with the unknown. Get to know God on a first name basis. Let her solve all your problems. Oh, by the way, God’s inside of you. If you think your problem is outside of you, that’s your problem.
Explore the space between spaces. You are an interdimensional being. You are great. Just be yourself, everybody loves that part!
